Are you heartbroken? Are you bothered it might take eternity to cure
your broken heart? You need not worry about the amount of time needed to
cure your broken heart as researchers seem to have found the answer and
its three months according to them.
So will this research end the classic debate of how long it takes to cure a broken heart?
According to a study published in the Journal of Positive Psychology,
researchers claim that 11 weeks after breakup is enough time to heal a
broken heart. They came to this conclusion after 71 percent of
participants in the study were able to view their relationship in a
positive light after heartbreak in 11 weeks.
Why is it really hard to let go of an ex?
According to the researchers from Stony Brook University, it’s hard
to let go of your ex because your brain is addicted to love. So next
time you think of your ex and feel sad, blame it on your nucleus
accumbens, the area of your brain associated with reward, which
researchers believe is harbouring that addiction.
Heartbreaks are painful too and there is a study to back it up.
According to a study published in the Psychological Science Journal, the
heart rates actually slow down when we’re unexpectedly rejected. So
when next you feel slowed down and exhausted after a heartbreak,
remember your heart rate has actually slowed down.
So is there any who is heartbroken among us? Cheer up; you would be fine in 3 months.
