IS YOUR PARTNER ASHAMED OF YOU?

870
A while ago I did an article on 7 signs your partner is ashamed of you, highlighting some obvious signs people tend to exhibit when they are ashamed of their partner.
People fall in love sometimes with the wrong person, but one of the worst kinds of persons to fall in love and have a relationship with is a partner that would be ashamed of you. Dating a partner that’s ashamed of you is as bad as having a partner that would cheat on you, or probably even worse; both would leave you hurt and emotionally depressed.
It’s ludicrous that people tend to be in this kind of relationship where their partner would rather love them only indoors than when they are out, it’s more like an official setting between boss and employee. This is probably borne out of the ‘I must be in a relationship’ mentality and also being blinded by an emotion I’d rather not call love.
When a partner is ashamed of you, it’s the same as a partner not knowing your worth; it’s the same as you being blinded in a relationship when you can actually have someone that would love you for you; having a partner that’s ashamed of you just kills everything a real relationship should stand for.
If you find yourself in that relationship where you aren’t really valued by your partner, there are certain things you must know; the relationship would hardly ever get serious than that, only one person would get hurt which is obviously you, and you are probably being used as a tool.
If your partner doesn’t pride in you, it’s best you leave that relationship than to be maltreated; you deserve better.

8 REASONS YOU SHOULD ONLY GET MARRIED TO THE ONE YOU LOVE

1
People date for many wrong reasons; looks, attractiveness, s*x and a whole lot of other irrelevant factors. Dating for the wrong reasons might be bad but it doesn’t even come close to marrying for the wrong reasons; it’s surprising that people sometimes get married for the wrong reasons.
Getting married for the wrong reasons would give you more sadness than joy, but when you get married to your partner for the right reasons, which should include love then your marriage would not just be the next best thing after anything you could think of, rather it would be the best thing.
Marriage sometimes could be quite complicating and it’s surprising that people get married for many flimsy reasons.
I would share 8 reasons why you should only get married to the right person, for the right reasons.
1. YOUR HAPPINESS WOULD BE GUARANTEED
The best thing about marriage is marrying someone you actually love and the person loves you without measure in return. When love is the bedrock of a marriage, so many other factors would come along with and that should include understanding; with love and understanding in a marriage, nothing could actually become better than that.
2. THE MARRIAGE WOULD BE SOLID
When you get carried away and marry for the wrong reasons, then you start a mission against time from your wedding day; a mission to when the marriage would actually crash. When love is the reason you and your partner marry each other then the marriage wouldn’t easily be shaken, the love for each other would add a lot in making that marriage work.
3. WITH THE WRONG PERSON, YOUR LIFE WOULD BE A LIVING HELL
If you don’t marry because you love someone then you have successfully made your life a living hell, and that is no ordinary feat. How long can you pretend to be in a marriage where love doesn’t exist especially when you would have to be with that person for the rest of your life? There are certain things that wouldn’t last and marriage to someone you have little feelings for is definitely one of them.

VERBAL ABUSE IS ALSO A RELATIONSHIP KILLER. LADIES BEWARE!

1
So much emphasis has been placed on physical abuse and so little has been said about another frequent abuse that happens in many relationships — verbal abuse.
As bad as physical abuse is, verbal abuse is even terrible too; physical abuse hurts the body while verbal abuse hurts the mind and leave scars that might never heal. While men mostly engage in physical abuse, women are the ones who mete out verbal abuse.
Women sometimes see verbal abuse as a way of communication; well, it might be a way of communication but a very terrible communication, the type that leaves the heart fuming. According to Lundy Bancroft, “The scars from mental cruelty can be as deep and long-lasting as wounds from punches or slaps but are often not as obvious. In fact, even among women who have experienced violence from a partner, half or more report that the man’s emotional abuse is what is causing them the greatest harm.”
Verbal abuse would never help your relationship in any way; it would hurt your partner terribly and would even leave dark seeds in your heart. Also, an emotionally abused man can even be pushed to mete physical abuse on his lady, though that also is another wrong.
Women aren’t also the only ones involved in verbal use, some men also lash out hard words at their lady, and such words could hurt a lady for a long time.
There is nothing like filtering the words that come out of your mouth; words are harsh, words can hurt, and words leave lasting pains and memories, and all these sum up to kill a relationship.
Save your relationship, verbal abuse kills relationships. I ended the title with ladies beware, but in retrospect, I think everyone should beware. One bee sting may not hurt a horse, but enough bee stings can kill a horse.

JEALOUSY CAN KILL YOUR RELATIONSHIP. 5 WAYS TO HANDLE A JEALOUS PARTNER

Jealousy isn’t one of those things that should be taken for granted; jealousy can totally ruin a relationship if given the chance. You might have a partner that gets easily jealous and with such a partner, a lot of carefulness has to be put else that relationship would get ruined easily.
Some people are extremely jealous and you won’t blame yourself if you fall in love with a jealous partner. To handle jealousy in a relationship like this needs a lot of understanding and certain things should never be taken for granted.
5 ways to handle jealousy in your relationship
1. UNDERSTAND YOUR PARTNER
To know how to handle the jealousy of your partner in your relationship, you need to understand your partner. Once you’ve known the things that make your partner jealous then only can you understand how to effectively manage your partner in a way that there would be little or no reason for jealousy to thrive.
2. DO NOT GIVE IT ROOM TO GROW
When you understand your partner and the things that could make your partner jealous, it is important not to give such things room to grow in your relationship else it might get out of hand. Once jealousy begins to grow in a relationship, it could lead to so many other things that would make the arguments reach a height that would make tension surmount.
3. YOU HAVE TO TALK TO YOUR PARTNER A LOT
When you have a jealous partner, one effective way you can calm the effects of that feeling of jealousy is to talk to your partner. Communication is everything in a relationship; lack of communication would lead to a lot of bad factors, jealousy notwithstanding.

IT’S TIME YOU STOP STALKING AND START TALKING

3278 couple talking
Communication is everything in a relationship; a lot of it would help the relationship grow and a lack of it would build so many vices that would end up ruining the relationship. A quote by Peter Shepherd reads “Communication is the solvent for all problems and is the foundation for personal development.”
One huge mistake people in relationships make is by letting things linger for so long. The mind sometimes can be like a trash can; if you keep piling things in it and you don’t empty it, it would remain there — dirty, filthy and stinking; that’s exactly how the mind works and some people in relationships just keep piling things in and hardly let any out.
If your partner keeps doing something you don’t like, it’s best you talk about it with your partner than keep stalking and stalking till you reach boiling point. What you don’t flush out of your relationship could definitely flush you out of your relationship; you have a choice to make.
Talking to your partner is communication but raising the roof is the opposite, probably interrogation and that would never help your relationship. A quote by Stanley Horowitz reads “Nothing lowers the level of communication more than raising the voice.” I find this quote very true, the fact that you should always talk to your partner when you feel bothered doesn’t mean you should make it seem like an interrogation; effective communication is always needed.
Stalking have ruined many relationships, talking have helped many relationships; there is no much difference in their spelling but a lot of difference in their meaning. Would you rather stalk and ruin your relationship or talk to your partner early enough so things don’t escalate and save your relationship?
Start talking and quit stalking, don’t be like the trash can; I would end this piece with a quote from David Augsburger, “An open ear is the only believable sign of an open heart.” Never let a grudge linger in your mind, talk about it with your partner, be open, have a free mind; do not stalk.
