Contract Type Contract for an Unspecified Period of Time
Location: Zanzibar Branch.
Job Purpose:
To provide telephone services to staff, record incoming and outgoing calls, and
exchanging telephone lines and extensions to support Branch’s operations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
a) Observing signal lights on switchboards and dialing or pressing buttons to make connections;
b) Providing local, international and emergency telephone services to staff in accordance with the regulations;
c) Monitoring switchboard operations and attending calls promptly;
d) Listening to customers and responding to queries relating to telephone information and operations;
e) Updating directory information and distributing to all staff on regular basis;
f) Offering assistance in dialing to persons who are in emergency situations;
g) Keeping of records of calls placed and received and related toll charges;
h) Reporting faulty telephone exchange lines and leasing with relevant authorities for repair and/ or replacement;10
i) Performing other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education Qualifications and Job - Related Attributes Required:
a) Certificate of Secondary School Education with passes in English and Kiswahili;
b) Certificate in customer service skills;
c) Ability to work under minimum supervision.
